Man arrested after food court stabbing

A man’s been arrested after allegedly stabbing another man at the Corio Village Shopping Centre.

Emergency services were called to the food court just before 2pm.

A spokesperson from Victoria Police said they are not looking for anyone else in relation to the incident

“Police responded to reports of a stabbing on Purnell Road just before 2pm.”

“A male was arrested a short time later in Norlane. It is alleged the parties are known to each other.”

An Ambulance Victoria Spokesperson said the man was taken to hospital

“Ambulance Victoria was called to an incident in Corio at around 1:50pm.”

“One man with upper body injuries has been taken to Geelong Hospital in a serious condition.”
